How To Set Up A Hookah

Posted by Prestige Admin on

Setting up a hookah can seem intimidating at first, but with these simple steps, you'll be able to enjoy a smooth and flavorful smoking session in no time.

how to set up a hookah

Step 1: Fill the base with water. The water level should be at the same level as the bottom of the downstem, which is the part of the stem that goes into the base.

Step 2: Assemble the hookah. Attach the base, stem, and bowl to the hookah and make sure they are securely fastened.

Step 3: Place the bowl on top of the hookah and add the desired amount of tobacco. Make sure the bowl is packed firmly, but not too tightly. Fill your hookah bowl with enough tobacco to reach just the top of the bowl. Break the tobacco up as you are filling your bowl to ensure the tobacco burns nice and evenly. Large lumps of tobacco often result in a dissatisfying shisha session.

Step 4: Cover the top of your bowl with heavy duty foil and poke even holes across the surface. The size of the holes should be as small as can be. Common instruments used are needles and toothpicks.

Step 5: Add the coal to the top of the bowl using a tong. Make sure to use the appropriate amount of coal for your hookah and tobacco, which is typically two to three pieces of charcoal. We recommend Prestige Coco Coals for a clean burning, reliable, natural hookah coal.

Step 6: Light the coal and wait for it to start producing ash. Once the coal is fully lit, you can start inhaling through the hose.

Step 7: Adjust the charcoal as needed to maintain a steady smoke. And remember to clean your hookah properly after each use to ensure optimal performance in future sessions.

By following these steps, you'll be able to set up your hookah quickly and easily, allowing you to focus on enjoying the rich flavors and smooth smoke of your favorite tobacco blends.

It is also important to keep in mind that hookahs should be used with caution and in compliance with the laws in your area.

It's also essential to keep your hookah clean and well-maintained to ensure a smooth smoking experience.

Additionally, always use natural charcoal instead of instant light coals as this will provide a better and more consistent burn.
